AForge.NET Framework celebrates its 3 years birthday

December 22, 2009         [ News Archive ]

It is pleasure to announce that AForge.NET Framework project celebrates its 3 years anniversary!

The 3rd year was quite challenging for the project, but quite fruitful at the same time. During this year the 2.0 and 2.1 versions were released, which brought the project to the new level of quality giving more features, more documentation, more samples. This year the project also got its own support forum, on-line documentation and description of all features and samples making it easer to investigate and making it even more open to users.

I really hope the project will continue to evolve brining more and more nice features expanding its usage to wider range of applications.

Some statistics about the AForge.NET Project:

  • Installation package size grew up to 20.6 MB (v 2.1) from 2.0 MB (v 1.2);
  • 16 assemblies including 22 namespaces;
  • 351 C# source files (513 including samples);
  • 30 sample applications;
  • More than 170000 downloads.

I would like to thank all the people, who took part in project's life by contributing to it, supporting it, bringing different ideas and discussions, which constantly improves the project.
