Postby arefin » Tue Mar 03, 2009 1:54 am

Hi,
I want to show my web cam live video from a asp.net web site . For example, I have a web cam at home,
and i want to show the live video from outside of home (lan network or internet). the sample Motion Detection application contains a feature that load JPEG or avi file load . But how this works.

Please help me about this issue.

Hello,

The Motion Detection sample application uses classes from AForge.NET Framework to play AVI files or get JPEG snapshots and MJPEG streams from IP cameras. If you are interested in the theory behind this, like how to connect to IP cameras, etc., then see the "Camera Vision - video surveillance on C#" article on CodeProject.

Well, you may go a bit different way. Try Windows Media Services. It will allow you to broadcast your home web camera to Internet. Then on another PC you can see it using Media Player. If you would like, you may embed the player into your ASP.NET page.
With best regards,
Andrew
