Hi,

I am a newbie here. I really liked your sample code. I am working on a touchless interface for computers and would like to know how to grab images from webcam using AForge.Net.. It would be really helpful if you could give me some examples on how to apply filters to the image stream, identify a particular object etc..My friends and I need this basic understanding to try our hands on some of the projects in our mind. Hoping for a quick response.

So, if you like samples than you need to study them more, because your question is caused due not familiarity with samples ;) In AForge.NET Framework's samples collection there is Motion Detection sample application. It will give you idea about how to get access to USB web camera (and other video sources) and also how to apply some image processing routines.

Yet another example may be found on the AForge.NET web site, for example Hands Gesture Recognition article. But, actually, you may take a look also at these articles also:
Making a step to stereo vision,
Lego Pan Tilt Camera and Objects Tracking.

In general you will need to use VideoCaptureDevice class ...

Thanks for the quick reply. I can manage to access the webcam, but thats after adding all the files which are in the motion detector sample. What files do I need actually? First just to display the captured frame in a picture box. :?
