Camera Motion (camera is moving)

Postby rdegelo » Sat Jan 06, 2018 2:34 am

Hi.. I'm trying to detect the direction that a camera is moving.
I found a lot of articles and tutorials about how to find motion in a fixed camera, but nothing regarding the camera motion.

Can you give me some hint on how to accomplish that?

Thanks.

Hello,

If you want to find direction of camera movement, then you can try something like block matching. That one is not very fast, but gives an idea. Or you can try SURF features. Find some features in one video frame and then find in the next. Try finding their displacement.
With best regards,
Andrew
