Reg: Is FFMpeg Project is supported for .NET Framework 4.5

Postby swaroop.a » Thu Nov 30, 2017 6:30 am

Hi,

I just got FFMpeg project from your site. I just want to know whether your providing support for .NET Framework 4.5.

As well I am getting issue as stated below while building up the project.

Error Messages:

Error CS0012 The type 'ObjectPrxHelperBase' is defined in an assembly that is not referenced. You must add a reference to assembly 'Ice, Version=3.3.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=cdd571ade22f2f16'. Robotics.TeRK

Error CS0012 The type 'ObjectPrx' is defined in an assembly that is not referenced. You must add a reference to assembly 'Ice, Version=3.3.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=cdd571ade22f2f16'. Robotics.TeRK

I would like to know why am I getting this error while taking the build. It's asking me to add Ice.dll as reference but I couldn't find any Ice.dll in your project source.

Hello,

You need to read the Sources\Building.txt file. Simply don't build the TeRK stuff.
With best regards,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

I have carried out the build as per the instruction given in Source/Building.txt.

I have downloaded respective Ice.dll from your prescribed site.

The prescribed site directed me to the below link:
https://www.nuget.org/packages/zeroc.ice.net

The dll version which I got from the above link is 3.7.0 but your project requires 3.3.0 whereas your recommended version is not available in NuGet package manager.

Kindly provide me a solution to over come this as soon as possible.

Awaiting for your reply from your end. Thanks !

You don't need Ice at all. It is only needed for TeRK, which is something you don't need. Building.txt says how to build without TeRK.
With best regards,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your response. I need few clarifications on below note which has been highlighted.

I have taken the below note from your Sources\Building.txt

Important! To build all libraries right after checking out them from SVN
it is suggested to use "Release" solution configuration in VS.NET. It will
build all, except the AForge.Robotics.TeRK library, which requires ICE
framework to be installed (http://www.zeroc.com/ice.html).

I couldn't find any Release solution configuration or VS.NET in your project and also I tried to build by excluding AForge.Robotics.TeRK project but I am getting different dependency errors.

In Visual Studio you can switch active configuration, there is drop down list in tool bar. It should have "Release" and "Debug" by default. But may contain more options.

Not sure what other dependency errors you get. It should be as simple as excluding TeRK project. Anyway, if you get some error, those should tell what is wrong.
With best regards,
Andrew
